LIG Product Works
Product-led agtech tools, built from real operational problems.
In development
Built narrow, built to be used
Each tool is built to solve one problem well, using lean manufacturing principles to cut waste and
improve decisions - creating a path to broader improvement without asking you to buy a platform
before the problem is proven.
What's in development

Vision-Based Water Meter Reader
Most farm water meters are mechanical or analog, and reading them still means someone walking the
property with a notebook or phone. This tool uses computer vision to read meters automatically,
turning an existing meter into a usable data source without a costly hardware retrofit.
What it aims to solve
- Manual meter reads that are slow, inconsistent, or skipped
- Water use data that arrives too late to change a decision
- Retrofitting smart metering across sites without replacing every meter

Farm Management Tools
Lightweight tools for the day-to-day decisions that usually run on memory and spreadsheets -
built from the same visibility gaps that show up repeatedly across Operations Advisory engagements.
What it aims to solve
- Operational data trapped in people's heads or disconnected spreadsheets
- Slow decisions because the current view of the operation cannot be trusted
- Tools that are too heavy or too generic to actually get used day to day
Applied Spotlights
Applied Spotlights give you targeted visibility into one operational question you already suspect matters. They are fast, focused, and built to show real signals, not sell you a full program. What you learn helps you choose the right next step.
Use a Spotlight when you want proof before expanding scope. They work best when you need speed and clarity over broad analysis, and they often show whether a deeper build or wider visibility work through LIG Operations Advisory is the next move.
Checkweigher Spotlight
"A clear view of production variation on the packing line."
What it reveals
- Weight variability and drift across runs
- Where variation is creeping into packed output
- How consistent the packing process actually is
It shows variation. It doesn't optimise your line.
Are we managing by facts, or just checking after the fact?
Local Weather Insight Spotlight
"A clear view of the gap between forecast and action."
What it reveals
- Irrigation decisions made without usable local context
- Over-reliance on regional forecasts
- Weak links between forecast, conditions, and action
It adds local context - it doesn't replace agronomy judgment or automate decisions.
Where are we acting on weather assumptions instead of local conditions?
Remote Irrigator Control Spotlight
"Control without feedback is a trap. This shows where the loop breaks."
What it reveals
- Gaps in operating logic
- Missing feedback loops
- Where control exists without usable visibility
It shows where feedback is missing - it isn't a "set and forget" automation upgrade.
Custom Spotlight
"Got a specific operational question? We can design a focused deployment to answer it."
What it could reveal
- The answer to your specific operational question
- Whether the constraint is where you thought it was
- What actually needs to change vs what can stay
It's scoped to your question, not open-ended consulting.
If you know the question, I can design the deployment.
When a Spotlight makes sense
- You already suspect where the problem is
- You want proof before committing further
- You value speed and clarity over theory
When it doesn't
- You're looking for a complete solution
- You want technology without changing how decisions are made
